Comments: What an evening this was. At first I asked the head of the organisation if I was allowed to see the soundcheck and he siad after some thoughts no to me. He knew my website and didn't want any problems with Simple Minds. But just before the Simple Minds came at the festival site the man went away and two nice security guys let my brother in law and me in when the the first song they rehearsed (Theme For Great Cities) was ended. Happy as a little child we went in. Unfortunately and I still get mad when I think about it, cause of the nerves and excitement I pushed the wrong button of my minidisc recorder :-( How disappointed I was coming home and finding the mini-disc empty!. But what an experience this was. A private concert of the Simple Minds. We were there with about twenty persons I think, along with Paola from Italy (thanks for the pics!).
